      Description

On MacOS 10.13.6 i could not connect to a SMB share with "use as home share" as well as the default configuration. Looks pretty similar to this issue, but a bit different:

      https://www.ixsystems.com/community/threads/smb-shares-cant-be-accessed-from-a-mac-machine.58309/

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Create a mirrored pool "main"
      2. Create a dataset "home" with default options and share type "SMB"
      3. Create a Windows Share (SMB) "home" on path "/mnt/main/home"
      4. Tick "use as home share"
      5. Create a user "peter" with default options and password

I also tried this without the "use as home share" and it did not work either. Trying to connect shows up the login dialog, but inserting valid credentials results in (unfortunately i only have the german error message):

Prüfe den Servernamen oder die IP-Adresse und versuche es erneut. Falls du weiterhin Probleme hast, wende dich an deinem Systemadministrator.

Following shares did not work like expected.

      smb://<ip>/home

      smb://<ip>/home/peter
