I've been trying to install Plex Server, but I get the following message:
Error: plexserver had a failure Exception: RuntimeError Message: pkg.FreeBSD.org could not be reached via DNS, check plexserver's network configuration Partial plugin destroyed
That happens when DHCP is enabled.
When NAT is enabled it takes too long to get installed, but allegedly it does:
Install Notes: plexmediaserver_enable: -> YES plexmediaserver_support_path: -> / Starting plexmediaserver. Admin Portal: http://172.16.0.2:32400/web
If either click on the Manage button, or change the jail back to DHCP, I can't access Plex anyway.
I haven't seen any helpful thing around the forums. Even tried a very complicated setup using the shell, but it did work once and then nothing again.
It happens the exact same thing in all cases with other plugins like Zoneminder.
Things to note:
- Yes, I can ping sites like Google, Wikipedia or my own router, and pkg.FreeBSD.org itself.
- I'm currently running it on VirtualBox, as I'm learning how to use it before actually installing it on a physical computer.
- I'm doing it with the "easy" GUI way.
- The FreeNAS version is the latest, 11.3U3.1, but it's been failing since U2.
