System hang + eventual reboot after using console mouse a little

I have no idea at all what debug info to give, to help on this, but it's happened several times over a few weeks, not just once or twice. Seems predictable rather than intermittent.

If I start using my mouse in console, to copy/paste text, at some point after a few uses (maybe not 1st time but by 3rd ~ 5th time), at some point the system suddenly hangs. I might not have actually been using the mouse at the time, but it only happens when I've been using the mouse in the last few seconds or minute, maybe to copy tesxt for the previous command.

The main console becomes static and non functioning (text still displayed), all things hang, and maybe 2-3 minutes later an abrupt reboot with no debug info and no crash dump.
