      Description

While debugging a performance problem with my 10G switch, I've stumbled across what I believe to be the root issue. In the UI I've set MTU to 9000, and after applying network settings, this appears to fix the performance problems seen. However on reboot, performance issues return, and even though the mtu is set to 9000 now in the 'ip address' output, its not until I unplug and replug the network cable, that full performance is restored.

Speculation, is that something is being skipped after applying alternative network configuration options, a restart or down/up or similar.
