TNSCALE - Upgrading via a new ISO wipes the initial image

      Description

Ran into this twice where the upgrde to a new version of TNSCALE does not maintain the initial boot environment. Our boot menu still reads install or upgrade, but unlike FreeBSD were upgrading triggers the config to remain, and the initial boot image to retain, in Debian SCALE it nukes the whole boot drive.  Are there any plans to adjust to the previous behavior or is it not possible due to limitations in Linux Boot environments? It was quite handy honestly when testing the TrueNAS Core BETAs to just download the latest and keep moving forward, shame to see it go, and might be something we should document if that behavior continues past the SCALE Beta.
