      Description

      After upgrading from FreeNAS 11.3-U5 to TrueNAS core 12.0-U1 linux users are unable to mount SMB shares with

      sudo mount ${src} ${target} -t cifs -o username={username}
      results in an error on the client machine of
      mount error(5): Input/output error
      Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

      TrueNAS samba auth log displays
      "status": "NT_STATUS_RPC_SEC_PKG_ERROR"

      To work around this issue we had to log into the TrueNAS web ui, click on Active Directory, click on Advanced Options, check the box for "Disable FreeNAS Cache", click Save, uncheck box for "Disable FreeNAS Cache", click Save

      This behavior was consistent across a number of storage boxes that were updated.

      Similar behavior  was reported in the forums here
      https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/active-directory-smb-nt_status_rpc_sec_pkg_error.89665/
