I'll split the suggestions on multiple tickets focused on specific features.
This first ticket is about creating a "tabbed" view for VM details:
(1) Virtualization UI / UX
Maybe I'm not as familiar to SCALE's interface as I am with the other solutions but I find myself taking several steps to access information that are more easily accessible on XenOrchestra for example (see screenshots below).
The tabbed view gives easy access to details of all the VM features: disks, network, snapshots, boot order, etc
These are some screenshots on how the VM details are organized on XCP-ng:

We think its a fine suggestion however there is only so much effort/resources we can put into this feature.
We may revisit this in the future with a redesign of VMs section but for now we have to say not at this time.

The TrueNAS UI really needs a major overhaul, not just part for virtualization. But for virtualization it's really bad, all it takes is to look at other hypervisors how it's done and make something usefull. Right now this part is useless as is on TrueNAS Core.
I am currently running 22.02 RC1.1, and I am very disappointed with the UI.
I've created a post on the forum with suggestions to improve the UX/UI for user focused on Virtualization:
