Middlewared crashes on TrueNAS 12.0-U5

Description

Hi all,

today I saw the first crash of python3.9 on -U5:

WARNING
The following system core files were found: python3.9.core. Please create a ticket at https://jira.ixsystems.com/ and attach the relevant core files along with a system debug. Once the core files have been archived and attached to the ticket, they may be removed by running the following command in shell: 'rm /var/db/system/cores/*'.
12.08.2021 19:13:32 (Europe/Berlin)

I'll attach the core file.

Ha, you'd be surprised at what some of our users do!  Anyways, thanks for a quick response. If you want to see the details this PR has it: https://github.com/truenas/middleware/pull/7378. I'm going to close this one as a duplicate of the ticket associated with that PR. 12.0-U6 should have the fix but if you want to hot-patch your box (just a singular file changed), then let me know. Thanks!

Of course! Who wouldn't? I prefer to know when one of my disks fails.
Isn't that info in the debug?

Glad you found it.

, thanks for the report. I just found this morning where we were using a non thread-safe python module in threads. However, it only comes into play if you have configured email on your system. Do you have email setup on your system?
