TrueNAS Scale UPS service fails to start

Description

The ups service cannot be started in the TrueNAS SCALE webui. Sometimes it can be started. but the UPS can be started by the command `upsdrvctl start`. At this time, the status of the ups can be checked by the command `upsc ups`. Whether it is started via webui or command, the service will die after a period of time

can you please set "maxretry = 5" and see if that improves the situation ? You would be adding this in auxiliary parameters for ups.conf. Please reboot your system after this and then test to see if it works. If it does not, please generate a new debug and kindly attach it here.

 

We can then probably schedule a teamviewer session and i can get some more context as to what might be going on. Although i have high suspicion that this is an upstream nut bug and have found a related issue as well upstream but let's see if we can workaround it possibly ourselves. Thanks!
