we have identified the issue but we don't maintain the upstream projects separately to add changes. However yes we should document this..will sync with the team and we will have this limitation documented for now at least. Thanks!

I can't tell you what to do and how.  No one knows inner workings of Truenas better than you.

I can only tell you that whole networking for the pod is basically  missliding (broken).  Because POD is not communicating through the IP address that is  set.

I only believe that xSystem can find the way to fix this issue. At least that limitation should be documented.

I have outlined the upstream issues which are blocking us, if you think that is not the case let me know please. thanks!

I can tell you that no matter what master interface I use, br0 or eth0.  Network for the pod is always working the same way. Default route for the pod is not getting set to 0.0.0.0./0

There way I see, when external network interface is selected for a POD. POD should be detached from internal net and attached to mcvlan with settings for the interface.

That will detach in my case 172.16.0.0 net and attach 192.168.2.0 net, resolving issue with routing.

I'm curious why you think this is not already happening ? If master interface is not bridge, we use macvlan in that case..let me know if you are able to make it work like that please and we can make the changes as required in that case
