System Hang

Cannot Reproduce

Description

Hello,
Since my update from 11.2U6 to 11.3Beta1 my system, every 48 hours or so, has hung. I am unable to reach the WebGUI and I am unable to access my iSCSI or SMB shares. I have to reboot the server from within the IPMI to get it to come back.
I have a Ryzen 1700, ASRock Rack X470DU motherboard. This problem did not exist in 11.2U6

Closing doe to lack of ideas.  You can try coming next week TrueNAS 12.0-BETA2 and try to disable CPU power management in BIOS.

Make sure to power-cycle after microcode_update_enable and check that there are no second time CPU capabilities reporting on later boot to make sure it is active.

: happens mostly in 8-12 hours. I think the first system crash was within 4 hours after I upgraded.
Some extra info about my system and the issue can be found here

The display output just freezes and the system doesn't respond anymore. The mouse pointer is stuck, and the console doesn't react to any keyboard input. Also, the system can't be accessed via ethernet anymore. Unfortunately, I do not have an NMI header on the board.

There's no workload or whatsoever on the machine. Now and then some Plex streaming but that's about it. I was able to watch a movie yesterday, but this morning when I checked the system was offline again. The crashes just seem to be at random, just during idle.

Some minutes ago I set microcode_update_enable = "NO" in rc.conf via the Tunables. Hopefully, this fixes the issue in my case.

Any useful input? How often it happen? Any correlation to workload or something? Nothing on a console?  No reaction to anything? Does your motherboard have NMI header you could use to try drop the system into debugger?

Having same issue with an Ryzen 1300x since I've upgraded from 11.2-U8 to 11.3-U1.

Thinking about downgrading back to 11.2
