I have a custom port set for both http and https in freenas. Upon reboot, freenas ALWAYS binds to port 80 (and possibly 443, I have not checked that specifically). Upon going into the general settings I can affect-but-not-change (delete a digit and retype the same digit) the port number to trigger a webui service reload upon saving. After this, the correct port is bound, and I have no further issue until the next reboot.

OK I'll give that a shot and report back. I did that because of a VM I had set up, that I no longer have.
And....that appears to have done it! Thank you!

Thank you , so if you don't disable interface capabilities for mlx interface, it should work nicely for now until the underlying issue is resolved.

Interesting! This machine DOES have...6? physical NICs in it, only 4 of which are connected, and all of which should be using DHCP, except the 10G link.
I'm looking at the JSON output (attached) and I'm noticing that I still have 2 bridges in there. I can delete those entirely if it will help; I set those up for Jails that no longer exist.

Can you please share the output of the following command as well ?
Looking around some more, I have found some interesting bits in logs and would like to see why it's like that. Thank you

what's happening is that the system is unable to configure network in 2 minutes during boot phase and that's why the updated nginx configuration is not generated. Can you please check your network as to why this might be happening ? You might have noticed already slower boot time. Generally speaking, 2 minutes for network configuration only is a nice time to wait IMHO at boot.
