Cluster of service fails and middleware connections fails, 12-beta2

Description

I don't know what has gone on, if its one issue or multiple. Title is probably wrong. Logs will tell all.

I don't know better than to attach debug and say what I did:

I planned to disable and then enable iSCSI after a config change. The server was totally idle.

I disabled iSCSI.

There was no response. In the console I could see messages saying that middleware client-server wasnt connecting properly. This was a 12-beta1 issue that was said to be believed fixed and report if it recurred. I has recurred.

Given the disconnect, I reloaded the Services web page for the web UI in my browser. As expected on page reload iSCSI now showed disabled

So I clicked enable

iSCSI refused to start and gave a web UI exception/error. Also there was a message that seemed to say syslog-ng core dumped.

I tried clicking "enable" again

iscsi refused to restart, and there were service errors visible in the console messages log.

I gave up and wrote this issue report.

No, not yet, I will. I havew a busy day or 2 work, then yes. Also I want to eliminate a possible confound.

We have committed some code which should have mitigate the issue.

Have you already created a separate ticket for the weird performance issue/behavior when scrubs are running for the ZFS side of things?
