Allow persistent external NFS mounts (Via UI as well)

Description

I have had a use case where I need to a couple NFS mounts into TrueNAS, which I then use for Jails. It appears the community also has this requirement as indicated https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/mount-external-nfs-shares-in-truenas-scale.90911/#post-631063

Can an option to mount external NFS paths be added to the UI

Can this option be persistant?

Maybe set a default location such as /mnt/RemoteNFS/ then all following mounts are mounted under that directory?

Thanks!

It is unfortunate that this has not been accepted as if in a lan scenario, mounting a remote share via nfs and then running rsync over this nfs mount speeds up the rsync transfer by a factor of 4 to 5.......  Using other OS's ( Ubuntu, QNAP  etc ), rsync via ssh ( with no encryption ) runs at about 22 MBs and via nfs mount runs at 80 to 100 MBs - exactly same hardware/lan setup. Just tried between 2 truenas systems and achieved the same result........

This is not something we believe should be done at TrueNAS side on that level.

Intent of TrueNAS is to provide the shares, not act as a client.

We will pass on that idea at this time.

This really is needed, I have asked the community and the Truecharts discord channel, no one seems to have a clue how this can be done in Truenas Scale. Under Ubuntu is a common practice to send the Fstab file.
