cxgb driver causes reboots under 12.0-U2

Description

I installed the 12.0-U2 update to my system (was running 12.0-U1) a few days ago. Up until then my system was running with no issues. Since the U2 update I get an alert several times a day stating that the system has rebooted unexpectedly.

I posted to the forums and Moderator Samuel Tai tells me that this panic/reboot is being caused by packet consolidation in the cxgb driver.

I looked at he release notes for U2.1, and since I don't use Active Directory I see no need to update until U3 ships.  Thanks for the quick reply!

, it was too late for U2.1, only U3.  But there was no kernel changes between U2 and U2.1, so if you like you may update to U2.1 and then put in my kernel again.  Or just wait till U3 sometime in a month.

Alexander - is this fix included in the 12.0-U2-1 hotfix release, or should I skip this update?

Thanks!

Alexander,

Thanks for the help - it was the tar command I needed help with.

It's installed and it's up and running.  It seems to be fixed from my testing using iperf3, too.

Thanks for the quick response and fix.

Thanks for testing.  Committed to TrueNAS for 12.0-U3 and also to FreeBSD main.
