Plex providing CODEC error with transcoding

Description

I am using the stable scale 21.04 with the official Plex chart. It appears that a Plex chart update happened and now when any type of transcoding is happening (either locally or remotely) I get an error that conversion failed. A required codec could not be found or failed to install. According to some posts the newer version of Plex has this issue with some docker instances. The server states that I have an update, and the Chart stated I had an update, however clicking upgrade didn't actually do the update. it would go through, restart, but say on the same version. I have tried to switch to the nightly SCALE version, manually update the Plex and also reinstall Plex. I have noticed that some videos work and some dont. I cannot find a correlation to which type (h.264 vs h.265, etc)

Just a heads up according to the plex forums v1.23.4 is supposed to fix this issue and more. It is related to DNS resolving with their bundled libc. Plex actually pulls those codecs from their servers. This is the last build that works for me 1.22.3.4523-d0ce30438. After our teamviewer session we determined it's an upstream plex issue where newer version of plex is not able transcode some streams but for others hardware transcoding works nicely, please create an upstream issue about it. I'll still update our nvidia device plugin as it's outdated. Thank you for your time

I would require ssh access to the truenas system in question. We could probably setup the team viewer session on your machine and you can maybe open terminal from there and i can access the truenas system then ?
