2. While the GUI has an option to save/restore the TrueNAS config, I wonder if it would be useful to have a (checked?) option to save the TrueNAS config before a pool is exported/disconnected/destroyed? The forum post linked in the previous point is relevant here again.

Suggested UI improvement exporting/disconnecting a pool:
1. Is there a good reason for having the option to delete share configuration on pool export/disconnect checked by default? Having it checked caused me considerable grief during pool reconstruction.
