WebUI - Services / UPS / Settings: Save button remains disabled after setting changes
Description
I tried to edit an existing UPS services configuration on the web UI. Whatever configuration values will be changed, the save butto remains disabled. Therefore a configuration change can't be applied.
The existing configuration was originally created on a privious version (FreeNAS 11.?) and were transfered by system upgrades to the currently running system.
System version: TrueNAS-12.0-U7 Web browser: Mozilla Firefox 95.0.1
Hello : Help text for the "Port or Hostname" field says, that the serial or USB port connected to the UPS or the IP/hostname of a SNMP UPS device should be entered. (see: screenshot)
In my case, the UPS isn't connected directly by USB nor serial to the server running TrueNAS. The UPS is connected to another server running "Network UPS Tools" ( https://networkupstools.org/ ). Remote access to the server running "Network UPS Tools" is established successfully with the settings given in fields: "UPS Mode", "Remote Host", "Remote Port", "Monitor User" and "Monitor Password".
As the remote "Network UPS Tools" server doesn't provide access via SNMP protocol nor the UPS isn't connected directly to the server, there is no reasonable value to set to the "Port or Hostname" field from my point of view.
Must this field really be mandatory, or should it be optional for the described use case of a slave UPS managed by an remote "Network UPS Tools" server?
