Impossible to install SCALE on SSD "size partition table entries is 0 bytes"

Description

Hello,

I downloaded SCALE RC2 under windows and created a bootable SSD using Rufus.

With the SSD I tried to install SCALE on a 500GB SSD. "No way" to do that. The loggigns shows:

  • size partition table entries is 0 bytes, but program supports only 128-byte

  • adjusting, but partion table may be garbage

  • unmount: /mnt : not mouted

  • /mnt: failed to setup loop device for /sdrom/TrueNAS-SCALE.update

I tried this setup procedure a couple of times after I did format the drive in a couple of ways using gparted. Even asked gparted to recreate boot sector

Note that is was not problem at all to install another OS/application at all on the drive. I did install truenas-core without any problem

I just created a ^new usb-stick" using Rufus 3.17 and the default "iso modes", since the original USB had been used for core 13 master.

And as expected the same issue

Given your question about "which settings" I also tried with "dd-mode" ..... and then it was possible to install the (test) system

(also complaining about the bootsector, but installing never the less)
