MARVELL NIC QL41132HLCU-CK 10G not supported

Description

We just integrated a new NIC
Marvell QL41132HLCU-CK 10G Dual Port PCIe Server NIC 2x SFP+ w/ iWARP RDMA
https://www.servershop-bayern.de/Marvell-QL41132HLCU-CK-10G-Dual-Port-PCIe-Server-NIC-2x-SFP-w-iWARP-RDMA

into our TrueNas Scale System

TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02-RC.2

Product: Super Server

Model: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Silver 4215R CPU @ 3.20GHz

asd

It is not showing up under Network Interfaces. I tried also to change the mode of PCI in the advanced BIOS field from lagecy to EFI Yet no difference.

Maybe TrueNAS needs to be updated with new drivers?

From the dmesg logs, it appears that kernel modules for this particular NIC are present in TrueNAS SCALE:

All config options in SCALE kernel for QLogic NICs are also enabled. However we see above errors. -2 error code indicates that qed_init_values_zipped-8.42.2.0.bin was not found.

This happens because this file along with others are provided by firmware-qlogic package. We had added this package a while ago, it seems that this ticket was filed before that. We do have this package installed OOB in latest TrueNAS Angelfish nightlies.

please try the latest Angelfish nightlies. This issue should be resolved.

Seems that card is not supported by the kernel version we are using. It will have to wait an update.

a "lshw -class network" in shell gives me a result as follows for the cards:

What I can see from the shell, is, that the cards are at least recognized:

root@truenas[~]# lspci | egrep -i --color 'network|ethernet'
67:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection X722 for 10GbE SFP+ (rev 09)
67:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection X722 for 10GbE SFP+ (rev 09)
b3:00.0 Ethernet controller: QLogic Corp. FastLinQ QL41000 Series 10/25/40/50GbE Controller (rev 02)
b3:00.1 Ethernet controller: QLogic Corp. FastLinQ QL41000 Series 10/25/40/50GbE Controller (rev 02)
